Fountainhead Meeting

Hi all,

Well, I really enjoyed discussing Fountainhead - thanks for picking this book Rach, I would never have thought to read it otherwise! Thanks for the snacks too Jess!

I have a suggestion; if any of you finish it in the next little while, post any of your comments on here so that I can see what you thought of the ending! It was very difficult not to talk about the last 50 pages or so!

Happy reading with Fugitive Pieces. It's great so far!

Cocksure & The Next Meeting

Okay, so there is some news! From what I have heard, Gerry will be in Kitchener-Waterloo straight through until the beginning of the new year, which means that he won't be here in November to run the meeting on his book suggestion, Cocksure. So I'm thinking that perhaps we should postpone Cocksure until the new year when he is around, and move on to To Kill A Mockingbird. This means that in January we will begin with either Cocksure or a new book entirely as chosen at our book suggesting meeting in December.
For meeting locations, I think it would be great for Jenn to host the next one (September) since she has offered. Then Graham and Jessica owe one more before we begin the next round of books. You're welcome to host at my place if need be since it will be Carolyn's book choice in October. Following that, I'm happy to host again!
Let me know what you all think of the above.

Dachau Meeting

Well, another fabulous meeting under our belt! I'm glad to have been introduced to Quinn. I look forward to reading more and comparing. Thanks Jess and Graham for the spread last night (I still smell like garlic - it's great!) and Jenn/gang for the discussion. I dreamt about aliens systematically eliminating our race, but that could have just been the wine.
I would be happy to host the next meeting if that's OK with everyone. I think the next two books after Sept are ours so it will be my last chance to host for awhile. Besides, I think it's my turn.
Looking forward to the Fountainhead (in a "crap I better start that" kind of way). LOL
