Non-fiction books will be chosen approximately once a year. For the remainder of the year, we will stick to Fiction.
There will be a $30 limit to the cost of books.
Due to an allergy amongst the group members, shrimp cannot be served at meetings.

Hey Guys! Just wanted to let you know that I have finally figured out how to recover my password and am checking in on our blog! Wow...I thought I was with the times on this, but perhaps I should think again!
Anyhow, I was really sorry to miss the Fugitive Pieces meeting. I read the book a few years ago and it was great to read (most of!) it again. Thanks C for your suggestion, and I'd love to read the short story collection you suggested.
Looking forward to the pot luck, and to selecting new books to read. Oh...and some more news...The 'non-blogger' and I have found a killer condo and are taking the first big step!! I am volunteering our new digs for the first book club meeting of the new year. Details to come, and see you all soon!

Wow! Congrats, Jess and Graham! Would love to get the scoop, since Scott and I hope to follow suit in 2999, I mean 2008! ;-)
Well, Joyce, I hope your offer still stands to allow me to host at your place for the November meeting. Scott's new job means that he hardly sleeps and his only nights off are Wed. and Thurs., so I'm sure he'd like a clear place to study for exams at that time. Hope you all don't mind just cheese and crackery type stuff, since I am not a chef by any stretch of the imagination!

Hi. I'm back from England now. I had an amazing time, and wish that I could have stayed there. Oh well, real life calls I suppose. Congrats Jess and Graham on the new condo. I'm about a third in to Mockingbird and am loving it. I can't wait until the book selection meeting!
